Malawi is blessed with musical talent that has had little exposure to the world due to limited resources in the local music industry. Malawian music has a unique sound comprising of a local Malawian (African) beat sometimes mixed in a reggae beat or fully local African sound, performed in local dialects or English.
J&D Record Company established a recording studio in 2007 with the objective to improve the quality of Malawian music and video production, an initiative that has undoubtedly contributed to the improvement of sound and video production in the country through its productions and by setting a new standard in the industry.
